Support Group for Breastfeeding Mothers
Every week at June's Centre there is an opportunity for mothers who are breastfeeding their babies to come together and offer one another support and encouragement. Mothers bring their babies to the group. They introduce themselves and their babies to the other members of the group and they say what they would like to talk about that day. Mothers can talk about whatever they wish. It's a great place to get tips and advice from other women who also have young babies. There is also a Public Health Nurse and a counsellor from June's Centre at the group.
The group starts with a dinner at 4:15 every Tuesday. We share the dinner with other mothers and pregnant women before the group. It's a great place to meet other parents who share your experience of being a new mother.
Everyone who comes to the group gets a $10.00 food voucher and two TTC tickets. We have breast pumps available at a discount and free nursing bras.
